My Journey: How it all started

“It is in the genes, as they say! My great-grandma, my grandma, and my dad were all wonderful artists. My love of painting started when I was young, as I watched my grandma follow along with Bob Ross, painting in her living room. Throughout high school, art was my favorite subject. I was the president of the art club and took every art course available. In college, I initially minored in art history, but life got in the way.

I eventually put art on the back burner—or at least in some form. I continued being creative through activities like scrapbooking and occasionally drawing or attempting to paint.

Fast forward to 2019: I sat down with a friend, and we painted rocks! From there, the creative juices began flowing. I started with acrylic painting, then moved on to watercolor, drawing in ink and pencil, oil pastels, wood burning, crafting, and, this year, oil painting again! I began sharing my art, and people really seemed to enjoy it. And now, here we are! I look forward to sharing more of my journey with you soon.

Until next time, I’m sending my thoughts and love…
